BOSTON HOUSE

Whilst at Arup Associates, Suzanne was part of the Design Team for the Boston House project.

Arup Associates’ extensive refurbishment of its own headquarters in London was undertaken during constant occupation. The building, behind a restored Adam facade of the late 18th Century, is Listed Grade I as part of the south terrace of Fitzroy Square. Refurbishment works included complete renovation of the basement and third floors with the incorporating shower rooms, bike storage and flexible meeting spaces, all core areas and the external envelope. A new stair was installed with landings and bridge link within the enclosure of the central lightwell. A fire escape was installed within a new glazed enclosure on the south facade and an external terrace created.

Space restrictions in the washroom meant that conventional vanity units were not feasible, the basin format was redesigned creating a new product made by Finnish company Durat.
