Eric studied at The University of Nottingham UK with a MEng Master degree and graduated with Diploma in Architecture at The University of Westminster UK with Distinction under the guidance of RIBA Annie Spink Awardee, Professor Murray Fraser. In 2007, he joined and spent over 4 years at the highly acclaimed London practice, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) where he qualified as an Architects Registration Board (ARB) registered architect. He was involved on several award-winning education, conservation and residential projects in the UK and South Africa. He had also contributed vastly to public architectural events and public consultation programmes. 

Moving from London to Shanghai in 2011, he joined the world renowned Safdie Architects, the practice led by the 2015 AIA Gold Medal recipient, Moshe Safdie. Eric was one of the Safdie’s Team Leaders in the 24billion RMB Capitaland mixed-used development, Raffles City Chongqing (RCCQ) project, leading and managing the Conservatory façade and interior design, as well as Podium Roof and Skylights design.

After spending 5 years with Safdie Architects, Eric moved back to Hong Kong in 2018 and co-founded O&O Studio with Suzanne Li. With almost 20 years international experience and as a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Chartered Member, Eric also holds professional memberships of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), and Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA). Having developed a strong interest on integrating sustainability into project delivery, Eric has been invited as speaker of the Build4Asia – ESG Forum, and shared the design philosophy of O&O Studio on values nurturing and sustainable communities.

In 2020, Eric was awarded The 4th China New Power Interior Design Award Top 10 (Eastern Region). Being invited by HKIDA, O&O Studio was one of the exhibitors and speakers at the Hong Kong Interior Design Week 2022 (HKIDW) Bi-City Exhibition and International Forum. With a strong belief of “Out and Outer” attitude, Eric is strongly recognized on distilling client’s brief and create unique and articulated resolutions for each specific circumstance, as well as leading O&O Studio with success of receiving over 30 international design awards in just 4 years of time.

O&O Studio has also been heavily involved in education and community services. Eric is guest critics of several institutions including Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), Hong Kong Zhu Hai College and Hong Kong City University. In addition, Eric is also an Associate Director of the NGO – Hong Kong Public Space Initiative (HKPSI). O&O is also a partner of the BODW CityProg Design !n Action, bring students various types of workshops to promote and raise students’ interest on design.
